I am a semi- retired medical scientist and clinician, and one time hobbyist jeweler, doing fabrication… I was a rock hound since childhood but have since graduated to collecting geological and geochemical scientific papers…my interests still lie in mineralogy, gemology and geochemistry in general, with an emphasis in alkalic igneous rocks…I am mostly self taught and still an amateur at geochemistry. Full retirement from the medical field will allow me time to pursue a degree in geology with an emphasis on geochemistry.
